Yes, but the premiums will be based on the last person's return date and your own coverage will end as soon as you reach your residence.

Medical Cover

No, because the Emergency Medical Costs Abroad cover is valid according to the policy for private trips worldwide except for Switzerland.

Yes, emergency dental treatment is covered up to a maximum of CHF 1’000 and, in the event of damage to dental prostheses, necessary measures for repairing the ability to chew up to a maximum of CHF 1’000.

No, the policy does not cover any pregnancy-related issues other than accidental miscarriage.

No, Chubb Travel Insurance does not have this option.

Pre-existing Condition means any condition which: Any injury or illness that has given rise to symptoms or for which any form of treatment or prescribed medication, medical consultation, investigation or follow-up has been required or received prior to the booking of and/or commencement of any journey.

No medical examination is required. However, exclusion for Pre-existing Condition will apply.

Trip Cancellation

Inability to obtain an entry visa is not a covered cause under Cancellation.

Yes, if the event occurs within seven (7) days before the Scheduled Departure Date and such claim are accompanied with travel advice from the relevant authority.

You are covered:

  • for Cancellation in case of an unforeseen warning by the Swiss Federal Department for Foreign Affairs or any similar authority not to visit the country of destination for which you had previously booked the journey and/or
  • if war, terroristic acts, civil unrest of any kind or natural catastrophes at the destination of travel place your or the life of other insured persons in danger, and advice against undertaking the trip is issued by the Swiss Federal Department Of Foreign Affairs (EDA).

General

For some covers a deductible might apply. Please refer to the Conditions of Insurance for more information.

You are covered:

Yes, you are covered for Accidental Death and Disablement benefit from the time you leave your home to the airport once your policy is in force. Cover shall cease when you are back after clearing the immigration/upon expiry of the Period of Insurane.
